About THE INTERIOR DESIGN COURSE

This course offers a 12-module training programme managed by The Professional Design Institute (U.A.E.), which covers the full range of the interior design spectrum, from theory to the technical and practical application of interior design principles. The training involves 12 in-depth modules comprising of interactive and compelling text, videos and exercises which students can access at any time, to study and learn alongside an online tutor who will guide and support in every step of the way. Each module comes with theory exams and practice assignments to facilitate learning and enhance creativity and imagination, which grants the student a module training certificate upon completion of tasks. Successful completion of all 12 modules makes a trainee eligible to acquire an international Diploma, certified and endorsed by internationally recognized academic and interior design associations. The Diploma will be issued by The Professional Design Institute (Hong Kong).

Study MODE:
Here is a step-by-step description of how to navigate our Online Learning Center:
- A Student logs in to access the Online Learning Center with the log-in credentials they have been provided upon enrollment.
- The first study module is automatically released.
- The Student can work on each module at their own pace.
- The student delves into the fundamentals of interior design, making their way through interactive and compelling course material in the form of text, videos and exercises.
- Formative tasks and assignments are set to help develop Interior Design skills and knowledge as part of the overall assessment.
- The student completes all the tasks and uploads the completed tasks through the Online Learning Center.
- While completing the assignment tasks, the student may choose to upload their work to their tutor for feedback prior to final submission for grading.
- The online tutor provides a detailed written feedback for each assignment and will also provide specific information on how the student can improve their performance in the future.
- Assignments are graded according to a pre-determined assessment criteria approved and recognized by our academic advisors and educational partners.
- A passing grade for each module assignment provides a training certificate as proof of training completion.
- Tutorials are available upon request from the students and can be conducted via telephone, email or the messaging portal inside the institute website.
- Student’s academic development is revealed in the Progress Tracker.
- The course is accomplished upon the completion of all 12 training certificates. A student has up to 18 months, from the time of enrolment, to complete the course.
- A complete collection of 12 module certificates deems the student entitled to obtain a recognized diploma, issued by the Professional Design Institute (Hong Kong), with no institutional credits applicable toward a U.A.E. qualification
Progress TRACKING:
Keep track of your development as you work through our online course. The Progress Tracker gives an quicker and easier insight of a student's maturity as they progress through the 18-month interior design programme. Upon course completion, student shall receive a graphic report of the Progress Tracking, along with a recognized Interior Design Diploma, to easily indicate his strength and skills so he can further improve his abilities even after finishing the programme.
The Progress Tracker may be accessed through our online Student Hub. The Student Hub is the heart of communication between students and educators alike. The hub also gives students a platform to introduce themselves via own profile page, integrated in the same center.

Course Contents:
Upon confirmation of participation, students are given a welcome package containing:
- General information on how to navigate the course,
- Brief introduction to the student’s online mentor.
Students will also receive:
- 12 fully comprehensive interior design learning modules prepared by internationally qualified interior designers and architects,
- 12 academic assignments with every module,
- Personal mentorship from highly qualified interior design tutors,
- Professional insight on the student’s development,
- A complete collection of design projects to serve as their initial portfolio.
Upon successful completion of the 12 training modules, students will receive an international diploma, recognized by world-leading academic and interior design associations.
Students also gain an opportunity to:
- Submit articles to be posted in Professional Design Institute website.
- Complete an application to Certified Interior Decorators International as a full Professional member with all the rights and benefits of being a “Certified Interior Decorator.”
